Wash Day

Todays wash day was a little bit different, I decided to clarify my hair using a mud/clay wash.  I mixed bentonite clay with rhassoul clay and added aloe vera juice, apple cider vinegar, EVOO, lavender oil, tea tree oil and JBCO (a lot I know)

The mix came out nice and thick, I put the mix into an applicator bottle before applying it.

(1) I started off by parting my hair into 4 sections.
(2) I then applied the clay mix to each section and massaged it into my scalp.
(3) I coated the rest of my hair and let it sit for a few mins, then rinsed my hair throughly.
(4) After rinsing I co washed my hair with Vo5 conditioner.
(5) I applied my Aunt Jackie's deep conditioner and let it sit in my hair for about 45 mins.
(6) After rinsing out the conditioner I wrapped my hair with a towel and when my hair was semi dry I blow dried it.

After I had rinsed out the clay mix.

Overall I liked the results of the clay mix, my hair felt clean and moisturised so I will defiantly be trying this again.

Im going back to wearing u part wigs because I want some colour and I do not want to dye my hair.

Hair Update - Castor oil challenge

After I relaxed my hair in February I did a hair update post and how I disliked the way my ends looked so I cut them. The picture on the left is what my hair looked like after I cut it and the picture on the right is what my hair looks like after my most recent relaxer day.

Shortly after cutting my hair I began a castor oil challenge which consisted of me applying a castor oil mix to my hair 3 times a week, I did this for about 9 weeks and then began to slack after installed my last u part wig.  I will wait until I am 2 weeks post relaxer to continue with the Castor oil challenge because I straightened my hair and I don't want to weigh it down. I am hoping that by my next relaxer day I would have retained some more length.
