Wash Day

(1) Started off by doing a apple cider vinegar rinse.
(2) Cleansed my hair with Hair One.
(3) Mixed Roux porosity control and Aphogee 2 min reconstructor and applied them to the length of my hair, left it on my hair for 10 mins and rinsed it out.
(4) Applied aunt Jackies deep conditioner for 45mins and rinsed it out.
(5) Wrapped an old t-ahirt around my hair to soak up excess water.
(6) I then applied a heat protectant and blow dried my hair on the lowest heat setting.
(7) Applied a mix of Shea butter and Aloe vera juice to my hair and did 2 braids.

My hair after I took out the braid, as you can see theres waay too much texure my hair doesnt even look relaxed.

I plan on relaxing my hair next week and after todays wash day I will no longer be texlaxing my hair (purposely under processing the relaxer) Whist detagling my hair I realised that my hair was waay too thick for texlaxing. So when I do finally relax my hair I will not be adding any oils or conditioner and I plan on leaving the relaxer in for about 15 mins.

Holiday Hair

It was my birthday on Wednesday and to celebrate I decided to take a little holiday. As a protective style I made a new u part wig this time I decided against a lace closure and chose to have my own hair out to get a more natural look, I am currently 10 weeks post relaxer and I knew I would have trouble blending my hair without the use of heat.

Using flexi rollers is a very good way to blend your natural/relaxed hair. The tighter you make your flexi rollers the better your leave out will blend with the weave. It is also one of my favourite way to style my hair and weave with out heat.

I always make sure to wrap my hair along with the weave around the flexi rod quite tightly to ensure they blend well together.

Wash Day

I am currently 9 weeks post and it has been almost 2 weeks since I last washed my hair.

1. I used Hair One to cleanse my hair and scalp.
2. Followed by co washing my hair with Vo5 Clarifying conditioner.
3. Did a green tea rinse using 2 tea bags and let that sit for 6-7 mins.
4. Rinsed my hair and applied Roux Porosity control to the length of my hair and detangled (My hair was silky and it was easy to comb through my hair)
5. After rinsing the RPC out I applied my Deep conditioner by Aunt Jackie.
6. Air-dryed my hair in a bun and used a scarf to keep my edges in place.

I am going to end my relaxer stretch at 11 weeks, a week after my birthday. Fingers crossed I have retained some length.

New Product : Roux Porosity Control

If your hair lacks moisture or you find it hard to retain moisture apparently this is the product for you. It is also meant to be good for those who use chemicals regularly on thier hair such as relaxers and hair dye.

I have red a few different blogs and alot of people seem to swear by this so I am going to give it a try. I am not entirely sure about how I plan to add this to my current hair regime but I'm sure I will find away.

My hair has been really dry lately and Im worried that this may cause a set back so I'm going to see if this product can help prevent this.

2013 Hair Goals Update

I was reading some of my previous posts and came across my post for my hair goals and so far I have managed to stay away from driect heat and find a staple Deep Conditoner and Hair cleanser. I am still working on my dry scalp and I am no where near reaching my goal of BSL (But theres still 8 months left so you never know)

Along with these goals I also want to try and get my nape and edges back into shape, at the moment they are very thin and I don't like the way they look.
