Protective Style: Senegalese Twists

Prier to my most recent wash day I had done a lot of thinking regarding my hair. I have been struggling with my nape, the rest of my hair has been growing with out problems and no matter what I did I just can't seem to get my nape to improve.

So at this point I was pretty much over my hair. I decided to stop wearing wigs for a little while and decided to try another long term protective style.

This is the 1st time in almost 10 years that I have had my hair braided up like this, so it's a bit of a change, I also opted to do them myself mainly because I wanted to avoid another set back.

Considering the fact that I did them myself. I think I did pretty well however I plan on practicing till I get them perfect.

Wash Day.

Pre Poo: Skipped the pre poo this week.

Shampoo: I clarified with ORS creamy aloe shampoo.

Protein: I applied Aphogee 2 min reconstructor to my hair and left it for a few minutes.

Deep Conditioned: I followed up with my Aunt Jackies in control conditioner for 30 mins.

Air Dried: I wrapped a t- shirt around my hair and left it for a little while.

Finishing up: I applied my DB leave In conditioner and sprayed Chi Thermal spray and detangled my hair before blow drying my hair.

After blow drying my hair I did something a little different.

Catch Up.

I haven't updated in a while due to being really busy and really lazy. I washed my hair 2 weeks ago and forgot to document it. On my most recent wash day I straightened my hair a few weeks ago and continued with protective styles such as my inspired faux Bob and low buns.

I washed my hair a few days ago however because I went away I did not have time to document it.

I will be back to doing wash day posts soon.

So stay tuned.
