Wash Day and Mini Chop

Products list
Argan oil
Shea mouisture coconut and hibiscus shampoo
Argan smooth hair masque
African Pride Shea butter leave in

(1) I started off by sections for my hair in four and applying the argan oil to my hair and scalp. Place and plastic cap on my head and left it for 30 mins
(2) cleansed my hair and scalp with my shampoo
(3) deep conditioned with the argan smooth hair masque for 1 hour and rinsed
(4) towel dried my hair.

It was at this point the problems started, whilst my hair was still wet I applied my leave in and oil. I then parted my hair into sections and attempted to detangle my hair.

Whilst combing my hair I noticed that my hair was a lot more tangled than usual and a lot of hair was coming away from head. I got nervous and decided to cut out the knots and tangles instead of trying to detangle which resulted in a mini chop.

SB: I still have some texlaxed hair at the top of my head however the back of my hair is now 100% natural.

Once my hair was dry I braided my hair up and will be protective styling with my wigs.

Minimalist wash day

Detangling and Pre poo:

Applied Tresemme naturals shampoo to my hair and scalp, rinsed then repeated.

Deep Condition
I parted my hair into 4 sections and applied the Tresemme conditioner to my hair. I did 4 bantu knots and put a plastic cap on my hair. I let that sit for just over an hour before rinsing my hair.

I let my hair dry over night and did a flat braiding pattern so that i could wear my wig.

I featured this wig in my previous post, the only difference is that I switched it from a side part to a middle part.

Wash Day : Still Relaxer Stretching

I didn’t actually realise this until today but I am nearly 9 months post relaxer, my hair regime has been the same since January and I don’t plan on changing it any time soon. The main questions is when will I be relaxing my hair again and the honest truth is I may not.

I currently don’t have any relaxer to hand and the whole relaxer process makes me cringe right now so I'm going to keep stretching until I get tired and either big chop or relax my hair.

I let my hair air dry over night, then I did 10 braids and pinned them up ready for my wig.
