Wash Day.

(1) I began by undoing my braid which I have been wearing under my wig for 2 weeks. I then applied my castor oil mix to my scalp a detangled my hair.

(2) Then I applied Cremè of natures intensive conditioner to my hair for an hour and rinsed it out.

(3) Clarified with ORS creamy aloe shampoo and followed up with a co wash using Vo5 conditioner.

(4) followed up with a green tea rinse and applied Aphogee 2min left that on whilst I showered and then rinsed.

(5) I then applied my deep conditioner (Aunt Jackie's in control moisturiser) to my hair and put a plastic cap on for an hour before rinsing it out.

(6) Once I had rinsed out the conditioner I wrapped my hair in a towel followed by an old t-shirt till my hair was no longer dripping wet.

Once my hair was damp I applied my Darcy Botanicals leave in a some of the Paul Mitchell's super skinny serum and put my hair in flexi rollers.

Once the my hair was dry I didn't like the results so I braided my hair into Goddess braids. LOL

Time To Get My Edges Back.

For a couple of months now I have been concentrating on heavily protective styling but I have also been letting the health of my edges slide.

So I will be doing a mini castor oil challenge in the hopes of getting them back in order. I made a mix of Jamican black cator oil, grapeseed oil and Coconut oil, I plan on applying it to my edges and nape once a day.

The left side and right side of my edges.

Grapeseed oil, coconut oil and castor oil.

Scalp Issues Part 2

I have recently been doing a lot of research into my scalp issues and I have decided to put a hold on applying oils, butters etc directly to my scalps. I made this decision mainly because I have been reading that applying oils to my scalp could block the natural oils my scalp produces which could result in me making my dry itchy scalp a lot worse.

So I have decided to eat more oily foods and drink alot more water in the hope that I can improve the condition of my scalp naturally.

Below is a list of foods that are good for helping produce more oils.
1. Salmon
2. Eggs
3. Chicken
4. Beef and
5.Oysters
6. Nuts (almonds)
7. Lentils

8. Carrots

Protective Styling: Back to wigs.

We all know that my favourite protective style is wigs so whenever I get my hands on some new hair, I end up making a new wig. For this wig I used 3.5 bundles of hair and added a lace closure.

I have decided to keep this wig sewn down until my next relaxer day which will be in near the end of the month or the beginning of April.

Over the last year or so I have gotten a lot better at blending my edges with my lace closure, it almost looks real. lol

Wash Day.

(1) I started off by applying Cremè of Natures intensive conditioner to my hair.
(2) After rinsing out the conditioner I co washed with a Vo5 conditioner.
(3) Followed up by shampooing my scalp with she moisture shampoo.

(4) I then applied Aunt Jackies moisturising conditioner to my hair and left it under a plastic cap for over an hour and rinsed.
(5) Wrapped my hair with an old t shirt and left my hair to airdry.
(6) Once my hair was partially dry I then sprayed my hair with a heat protectant and blowdried my roots.
(7) I then applied African Pride leave in and put my hair in a bun.

I will be wearing a full wig until my relaxer day, which will be near the end of the month

Organising My Product Stash Part 2
