Nape Update pt 3

It is no secret that my nape is a problem area for me.

                                                                        April 2014

                                                                     October 2014

After my relaxer in September I cut my hair in my nape area as I felt I needed to start again.

June 2015

The above picture from June 2015 Is what my nape currently looks like, its still not great but aat least there is a bit on progress. I am hoping that by the end of the year I will have no thin spots.

Hair Update.

After my most recent relaxer (see details here) I have decided to make some changes to my hair regime.

Although my hair has grown I was not completely happy with the condition of my hair. Over the last few months I became lazy, I focused more on protective styling and less on the actual health of my hair.

  • Until my next relaxer I will be concentrating on balancing on mouisture and protein.
  • I will not be using any heat on my hair
  • I will no longer be relaxing my nape until I can get over my nape damage.
  • I will also be changing the way I maintain my hair whilst protective styling.

2014 Goals.

It's a brand new year and although I didn't note down any of my goals for the year 2013 I had a mental note of them. This year I want to expand my goals so that my hair was not the only focus, it's still the main focus but not the only one.

This year I want to adopt a regime where I am able to achieve healthy hair, body, mind and skin. My goals will be pretty simple that way I am more likely to achieve them .

My Hair Goals for 2014 are:
  • Protective style using wigs for at least 6 months.
  • Only use heat on relaxer days.
  • Improve the health of my nape.
  • Trim my hair only when needed.
  • Retain as much length as I can.
  • Sort out my dry, itchy scalp.
I'm hoping  that if I stick to these goals then I can hopefully achieve full APL (Armpit length) before the year ends.
