Wash Day.

Pre shampoo: applied coconut oil to my hair and braided it up. Left it for 20 mins under a plastic cap.

Co wash: Pantene Naturals co wash cleansing conditioner.

Protein Treatment: applied Aphogee's 2 min reconstructor on my hair and let it sit for 5 mins.

Deep Conditioned: applied my trusty Aunt Jackie's in control conditioner and left it in my hair for 1 hour.

Air Dried: wrapped a towel around my head followed by a t-shirt and let it soak up the water.

Styling: once my hair was partially dry I applied my African pride leave in and sealed with coconut oil and detangled. I did a small part down the centre of my hair and brushed my hair into a loose bun, wrapped a scarf around my hair and air dried over night.

Today's wash day was a good one however whilst I was co-washing my hair I noticed ALOT OF SHEDDING which made me very nervous. On my next wash day I will defiantly being doing a tea rinse.

Product Review: Kanechom Mixed Chocolate Conditioner

Product Description:
Kanechom Mixed Chocolate Conditioning Mask is an intense mix that provides hydration and softening. It restores the texture of dull and damaged while the cocoa extract provides regeneration, leaving them with intense, soft and healthy glow.

My Opinion:
I have had this product for a while now and initially I wasn't going to do a review but I decided to do one anyway. After reading a few blog reviews and watching some videos on youtube I decided to give it a try. When I did finally get one of the Kanechom conditioners I was soo excited and planned to use it my very next wash day.

The 1st time I opened this product THE VERY FIRST THING I noticed was the smell, it had a sweet chocolatey (almost sickly) smell to it which doesn't go away once it is rinsed out. However it wasn't until I applied the conditioner that I knew that me and this conditioner were not going to work out, lol. Now in previous posts I have said that I love me some thick, creamy conditioner especially when deep conditioning, so you can imagine my face when I tried to scoop up this conditioner and it slipped through my fingers URGH!!!. The watery consistency made applying the conditioner difficult, I was over this conditioner by now but I decided to see if the results would be worth it and the results were ok, my hair didn't feel any different and it did not make my hair worse.

I have used this conditioner and a pre poo and as a deep conditioner and to be honest I don't really have a lot to say about this product other than its okay. I was actually planning on throwing it out but I decided to keep using it until it is finished.

My Opinion: Since purchasing this conditioner I have managed to use it on all of my wash days, I have used it as a pre shampoo treatment, to co wash and as a deep conditioner. As a co wash it failed due to the lack of slip the conditioner has however as a pre poo and deep conditioner it is a fantastic product, my hair is always left feeling soft and moisturised after using it.  This conditioner is inexpensive and to me it does the job, so this conditioner has defiantly become a staple for me. I will say that this product would be so much better if it came with a pump.
