Wash Day.

(1) Started off by applying l'oreal elvive total repair 5 mask to my hair and castor oil mixed with coconut oil to my scalp.
(2) Clarifyed with my ORS shampoo and towel dried my hair
(3) Deep conditioned with a mix of Aunt Jackies, Elsta QP, roux, coconut oil and tea tree oil. Left the mix in for about 2hours and rinsed.
(4) Towel dried my a hair till it was no longer dripping.
(5) Applied my Palmers coconut milk and Paul Mitchell's super skinny serum to my hair and detangled.
(6) I then blowdried my hair and lightly straightened my hair on the lowest heat.

I decided to straighten my hair so that I could dust my ends. My ends have been irritating me for a while and I wanted perfect results on my next relaxer day. Lol.

Until I relax my hair again ( whenever that is) I will be wearing my wig.

Hair Update (Back to wearing lace closures)

So I know I said that I was missing my leave out, however after a week or so I was officially over blending my leave out with my weave, I never used to find it difficult to blend my leave out but for some strange reason once I get to 4 weeks post relaxer I begin to struggle. I tried moisturising and I also tried Eco styler gel but the only thing that worked was hair straighteners.  Although I was really tempted to go back to applying heat to my hair, I chose not to mainly because of heat damage and because I really could not be bothered.

I decided to take my wig apart and redo the entire thing adding a lace closure to it. I know in a weeks time I'm going to do another update saying I miss my leave out but Im going to have to suck it up

because I'm not doing this wig again. lol

*Note to self* I need a collection of wigs, having to take my wigs apart so that I can re do them is annoying lol.

Update On My Nape.

So I did a previous post highlighting my issues with my nape. Originally I said that I have been using castor oil  to encourage growth but I have also decided to do a few other things to help my nape area grow:

  • I have stopped sewing my U part down around my nape.
  • Avoided braiding my hair tightly around my nape area.
  • When moisturising my hair I pay alot more attention to my nape area.
  • Apply a little extra conditioner to my nape when deep conditioning.
  • Try and apply castor oil mix to my nape and edges once or twice a day.

  • My Nape at the moment

I am hoping that If I can stick to the points I made above that by my next relaxer day my nape area will no longer be an issue for me.

    Hair Thoughts.

After my relaxer day I decided I want to do a LONG relaxer stretch, I'm not entirely sure about how long I want stretch for but I do know that it needs to be longer than my usual 10 - 12 weeks.

Now I know I said in a previous post that I will not be doing long relaxer stretches anymore however I will not be stretching past 6 months and really want to give my hair a long break from relaxers and I'm sure my results will be worth it.

I will however continue to stick to my regime of washing my hair regularly, I know deep conditioning it will be the biggest challenge but I will make it work and I will also be moisturising my hair regularly.

To help me with this stretch I will be braiding my hair up and sewing down my trusty wig next week, lol.
